We’ve been obsessed with the two recent documentary series on the NXIVM cult, largely because its members keep referring to the cult’s leader as a “philosopher”, which feels a little weird to us. So we decided to have our in-house philosophy Ph.D consider some of the ideas espoused by the cult’s leader, Keith Raniere, to see if there is any truth hidden beneath the madness.
