💫 What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is very old and finds its application on the most different directions. Hypnosis, or rather the trance state, is a completely natural state of mind that you know from your daily life.
In hypnosis you are not asleep and yet you are not fully conscious or present.
An often used comparison is watching a movie attentively. When you concentrate on the movie, immersing yourself in its action, your consciousness focuses only on that activity and stops processing the influences from your immediate environment. In this state one also speaks of a trance which is not perceived as such but nevertheless takes place.
Trance is therefore the state in which you can come with a meditation or hypnosis and is often also paraphrased as a deep relaxation.
